Safari Highlights
Situated in Mbarara District in western Uganda, this is the smallest of the savannah National parks in Uganda. In spite of its size, the whole park is alive with biodiversity. It boasts of over 68 different species of mammals and over 315 bird species. |

Leave Kampala in the morning drive south with a brief stop over at Mpabire to watch the royal drum makers. We then continue to our next stop over, the Equator for a photo opportunity. Choose to take a photo while on the Northern or Southern hemisphere or neither.
We then proceed to the park for lunch along the way we shall be able to spot animals like; Zebras, Impala, Waterbucks, Oribi, crocodiles, Hippos, and birds like heron, pelicans, black crake, fish eagle and many more.
After lunch we take a boat ride where we see Hippos, crocodiles and the lovely water birds. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge, Mantana, or Rwonyo hostel. |

After an early morning breakfast, we go for a nature trail in the company of an armed guide. We shall be impressed with what nature can offer. We shall then take a walk to the salt lick. From this point we shall be able to see different animal species licking the salty soil.
Drive back to Kampala, lunch along the way. |
