You
will be picked by your guide from your place of accommodation
and be driven to the Uganda wildlife educational centre.
It takes about 45 minutes to get to the Ngamba island home to
about 44 chimpanzees by June 2009.
You will be briefed about the sanctuary and what you should expect.
At feeding time you will be amazed how the chimpanzees communicate
to each other and with their care takers. After this exciting
encounter these amazing primates, you will be transferred back
to the main land in the afternoon, where your guide will be waiting
and transfer you to your next destination.
Optional Activities:
Visit the Uganda Reptiles Village at Bunono in Entebbe (3km off Entebbe Kampala highway), where you will be educated on the various spicies of reptiles found in Uganda.
Uganda Reptiles Village is a community based project with a mission to create awareness about reptiles and also protection of the environment which serves as habits for these reptiles.
You will be able to see rescued reptiles like Snakes, Chameleons, Tortoises, Monitor lizards, Agama Lizards. You will be amazed seeing the staff treating very poisonous snakes like friends. |
