Day 01: Kampala – Lake Mburo (L, D)

After breakfast, depart to southwestern Uganda with our first stop over and also curtain raiser at the Equator. The equator is an invisible hot line that separates the northern hemisphere from the south and is very famous spot for photography and for buying souvenirs.
Our next stopover is Lake Mburo national park. This park, which surrounds an entire Lake, is covered by acacia woodland. The main activities here will be a game drive, boat ride and guided lakeside walks.
It is the best park to see gigantic eland antelopes, herds of zebra, topi, sitatunga and for birds among over 300 species you may see include, pelicans, black crake, cormorant, harrier hawk, barefaced go-away bird, papyrus gonalek, and the rare shoebill stork.
Over night and dinner at Mihingo lodge or Matana tented camp/ Rwonyo rest camp.

Day 02: Lake Mburo – Bwindi (B, L, D)

 

Drive to Bwindi, a luxuriously vegetated and practically impenetrable forest, through the mountainous and heavily terraced Kigezi Highlands also know as the “Switzerland of Africa.Dinner and over night at Gorilla Resort or Gorilla forest/ Lake Kitandara tented camp/ Buhoma community camp

Day 03: Bwindi (B, L, D)

After breakfast and briefing from your guide, make an early morning entry into this spectacular rainforest. This incredibly dense forest is home to the endangered mountain gorillas and an array of bird life. The excitement of coming face to face with the Gorillas is more than worth the effort.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort or Gorilla forest camp/Lake Kitandara tented camp/ Buhoma Community camp.

Day 04: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth (B, L, D)

 

After a refreshing night sleep, Have breakfast and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. This park has a varied eco-system that includes tropical forests, grassy plains, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters. This contrasts sharply with the dense forests of Bwindi. Enter the park through the Ishasha sector, famous for the “tree- climbing” lions. You will also pass by herds of buffalo and kob.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge /Hippo Hill camp/ Hostel

Day 05: Queen Elizabeth (B, L, D)

 

Early morning breakfast to be followed by a game drive an opportunity to see lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, bushbuck. In the after noon have a dazzling cruise on the beautiful Kazinga channel and see hippos, crocodiles and very many water birds.
 Drive back to lodge/Hostel for dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Queen Elizabeth – Semuliki (B, L, D)

 

Leave early morning for Semuliki national park. This park is about 50 km from fort portal is an extension of the vast Ituri forest, and is home to mammals like elephants, chimps, pygmy antelopes and de Brazza's monkey. The birds among others include about 40 species found nowhere else in Uganda. You shall have a nature guided walk to the Sempaya Hot springs. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the moon hotel/ Nyina bulitwa country resort/ Rwenzori guesthouse.

Day 07: Kibale forest (B, L, D)

 

Drive to Kibale forest. This rain forest is home to 13 primate species. This includes the red Colobus and L’hoest monkey that are localized to this park. After lunch, Have a guided walk to Bigodi wet land, to see lovely birds and also smaller mammals in this sanctuary Overnight at Primate lodge kibale or Ndali lodge/Nyina bulitwa country resort/ Rwenzori guesthouse.

Day 08: Kibale Forest (B, L, D)

 

After Breakfast, we are set to go Chimp Tracking in Kibale forest. Marvel at the way mans closest cousins communicate and behave. You will also be enriched with lots of information about this forest, seeing the rare tree species, Birds and butterflies and other interesting creatures.
After lunch, go for a community walk visiting the people that live around this park.
Overnight at Primate lodge Kibale or Ndali lodge/ Nyina Bulitwa country Resort/ Rwenzori guesthouse.

 

Day 09: Kibale – Murchison Falls (B, L, D)

 

An early to start today, have your breakfast, and we drive through Kagadi and Hoima town to Murchison Falls national park. This massive park is the biggest in Uganda and protects a chunk of untamed African savannah. Overnight at the luxurious Paraa safari lodge or Nile safari Lodge/ Sambiya river lodge/ Red chilli rest camp.

Day 10: Murchison falls (B, L, D)

 

We are up early, have breakfast and off for an early morning game drive on the northern bank. Your guide will help you spot hartebeest, cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, lion, waterbuck, oribi, hyena and if lucky the leopard. After lunch, take a launch trip to the bottom of the Murchison falls. From the comfort of your boat, spot schools of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and water birds like the rare shoebill stork, kingfisher, and hornbill.
Dinner and rest at Paraa safari lodge or Nile safari/ Sambiya River lodge/ Red chilli rest camp.

Day 11: Murchison Falls – Kampala (B, L, D)

 

After breakfast, drive leisurely to the top of the falls. You will be dazzled at the sight of the Nile compressing itself through a narrow canyon of about 6 meters, then exploding violently and creating a beautiful rainbow and plume of spray. Not only is this sight exciting but is also one of the most force full natural water not found any where in the world. Drive to Kampala with lunch in Masindi at court view or Masindi hotel.
Arrive in Kampala early evening.
Dinner and over night at Sheraton or Cassia Lodge/Africana or Fairway hotel/ Namirembe guesthouse. 

Day 12: Kampala – Jinja (B, L, D)

Great breakfast, Begin our journey to Jinja with our first stop at the Uganda martyrs shrine Namugongo, a place where 22 young men where burnt to death on a Kabaka (king) Mwanga’s order for their strong faith in God. Drive on passing by Mabira forest Uganda’s biggest and oldest forest. See large Sugarcane plantations and tea estates, cross the bridge at the Owen falls dam the country’s major power generating dam to the source of the Nile. Take a boat to the exact spot the Nile is believed to start. Break off for lunch and continue to Bujagali falls, get entertained by local rafters, traditional dancers and acrobats.
Dinner and overnight Jinja Nile Resort / Sunset hotel.

Day 13: Jinja ( B, L, D)

 

This is your day; you choose what you would like to do. We are glad to give some of the options which include:

  • White water rafting
  • Bungee jumping
  • Quad biking along the Nile
  • Community walk
  • Visiting an children’s home or orphanage

Or simply choose to stay at the hotel relax with a great swim and massage to put all those muscles in peace.
Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile resort / Sun set Hotel.

 

Day 14: Jinja – Kampala – Airport (B, L, D)

Wake up to the cool and fresh breeze of the river Nile. Have your breakfast with a great view the Nile and we are ready to go to the capital city Kampala, where we shall visit the craft centers and market allowing time for shopping.
