12 Day Uganda Jungle Safari

Safari Highlights

Day 1: Arrival (L, D)

Our guide will be waiting to pick you from the Airport, meet, greet and begin to feel the warmth of the African Jungles Staff.
Drive to your accommodation. Depending on your time of arrival, visit some of Kampala’s Legendary and Historical sites in the city. The museum, Kasubi tombs, Bahai temple.
Overnight at Cassia Lodge / Fairway Hotel /Makerere guest house

Day 2: Jinja (B, L, D)

Drive East wards passing large sugar cane plantations and Tea Estates. Have a brief stop at Mabira Forest Uganda’s largest and oldest forest. Continue to the Owen falls Dam our main electricity generating dam to the source of the Nile. Take a boat ride to the exact spot the Nile is believed to start with lovely fishing birds accompanying you. Drive to Jinja Nile resort for lunch and continue to Bujagali falls a place famous for White water rafting. Get entertained by the local traditional dancers and acrobats here. Get riveted by the local rafters who use plastic jerry cans as their life savers.

Day 3: Kampala to Bwindi (B, L, D)

Pick you from your place of accommodation after your breakfast by our guide/driver. Drive south westwards brief stop over at the Equator along the way for good photography. Move on stopping in Mbarara for lunch and off to the land of the gorillas’ great scenery along the way.
Dinner and over night at the Gorilla forest camp /Lake Kitandara tented camp/ Buhoma community camp.

Day 4: Bwindi (B, L, D)

Awake early to the forests sounds and refreshing cool breeze in anticipation for the great day. We are ready to trek the Gorillas after a briefing from the rangers. Coming face to face with giants is a memorable event that will imbed on your mind forever.
Back to the Gorilla forest Camp or Lake Kitandara tented camp/ Buhoma community camp.

Day 5: Bwindi - Queen Elizabeth (B, L, D)

After breakfast in the impenetrable forest, we head to Queen Elizabeth passing through Ishasha where we shall see the resident tree climbing lions have our lunch and continue to the Park. We shall see a variety of animals along the way.
Head to the Mweya safari lodge or Hippo Hill Camp / Hostel for dinner and over night.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth (B, L, D)

We are up early for a game drive to watch the wild game in action. We shall see the lions, buffaloes, elephants and many others. Back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, we go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel great animal and bird life to be viewed here.
Dinner, overnight at Mweya safari lodge / Hippo Hill Camp./Hostel

Day 7: Queen-Kibale forest (B, L, D)

Travel to Kibale forest straight to our place of accommodation. Have lunch, after which have a guided walk to bigodi where great bird species can be seen.
Back for dinner and overnight at the Primate Lodge /Nyina Bulitwa Country resort / Rwenzori guest house.

Day 8: Kibale forest (B, L, D)

The main activity today is chimpanzee tracking in the forest with the highest density of primates in Africa. We shall spend half the day tracking man’s closest cousins, the chimpanzees, stunning forest birds and other primates will also be seen here. Break off for lunch. In the afternoon we shall have a community walk to fort portal town. Dinner and over night at Primate Lodge /Nyina Bulitwa Country resort / Rwenzori guest house.

Day 9: Kibale-Murchison falls (B, L, D)

Today we travel to Murchison falls passing through Hoima. We shall have our lunch enroute and proceed to the park marvelling at the natural beauty and scenery of the land.
Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge or Sambiya River lodge / Red chilli rest camp.

Day 10: Murchison Falls (B, L, D)

A game drive in Uganda’s largest National park starts our day.  We shall see lions, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, and many antelope species.
Have our lunch after which go for a launch cruise on the waters of the river Nile passing through a dense concentration of Hippos, we shall also see crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes all quenching their thirst and cooling off  in the Nile waters. Both resident and migratory birds will also be seen here in big numbers.

Day 11: Murchison- Kampala (B, L, D)

Today we go to the Top of the falls the major Highlight of Murchison falls National Park, marvel at another Wonder of the world. Take a 30 minutes hike in order for you to see yet another beautiful falls the Uhuru falls at the same time. Proceed to Masindi for early lunch and head straight to Kampala reaching there early evening.
Dinner and over night at the La petit village, Africana hotel, Namirembe guest house.

Day 12: Departure (B)

We take on to the craft villages in Kampala. Buy yourselves creative and innovative pieces in these villages and other souvenirs that will always keep Uganda in your heart.
Drive you to the Airport.
