HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Terms and Conditions

 

CONFIRMATION OF RESERVATION
For your reservation to be confirmed, we request you to pay a 50% deposit 8 weeks prior to the start of your tour and the balance to be cleared 30 days before commencement. For safaris involving gorilla trekking, booking and payment should be done at least 14 weeks in advance. This is because of the scarcity of the Gorilla permits. However, this does not stop you from inquiring about availability incase you didn't book early.

MODE OF PAYMENT
All quotes are in United States dollars.
Our preferred mode of payment is by Telegraphic transfer (to African Jungles Safaris Ltd. Bank account). We shall be happy to provide you with our account detail. For those already in the Country, payment can be made by Cash in the following currency: Uganda Shillings, United States Dollars, British pound sterling and Euro.

Credit Card Payments
Presently we only accept (Card present) VISA Credit Cards only.
This method which is done by swiping a credit card through a point of sale terminal is only useful to those in Uganda.
Payment can be made from our offices, airport or your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
The bank charges a 5% surcharge on all credit card transactions which we sadly pass on to our clients.

Soon we shall begin accepting card not present credit card payments.

TOUR PRICE
The tour price is inclusive of transportation as per the itinerary , all applicable park entrance fees, permits where required, driver/guides allowances, accommodation, all meals and soft drinks while on safari but does not include Accommodation and meals while in Kampala, flights, airport taxes, visa fees, travelers insurance, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, laundry, tips and other expenses of personal nature.

TRAVELLER'S INSURANCE
We recommend that you buy travel insurance from your local agent before traveling.

ACCOMMODATION
All bookings are presumed to be based on twin/ doubled bedded rooms, cottages or tents with private bathrooms (unless in cases of budget accommodation). For single occupancy, a supplement fee will have to be paid.

TRANSPORT
This will be dependant on the number of clients and also on the specification of the chosen itinerary. However, all are 4 x 4 safari vehicles in superb mechanical condition and the drivers/ guides provided very experienced with very good command of the English language.

LIABILITY
All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that African Jungles Safaris and its agents act only as agents of the passengers in all matters relating to Hotel/Lodge accommodations, tours, transport and the like. African Jungles Safaris shall not be liable for injury, delay, loss or damage in any manner whatsoever. While every care is taken, African Jungles cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to baggage. African Jungles Safaris reserves the right to employ subcontracts to carry out all or part of the services agreed to be supplied. African Jungles Safaris liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the respective laws of the country. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction o the courts of the country in which the cause of action arises.

CANCELLATIONS
This must be done in writing and refunds will be based on cancellation levied by hotels and lodges.
Full refund will be given if cancellation is done 60 days before commencement of the safari, 50% refund will be given if cancellation is done 14 to 35 days before the start of the safari, 75% will be charged if cancellation is made within 2 to 14 days and 100% within 48 hours.
